Have you contacted the people who posted the information on RootsWeb Family Trees and USGenWeb > WV > Hardy County? They say that Luke JEFFERSON (ca. 1732 - ca. 1798, Hardy Co., VA {now WV}) m. Elizabeth CRONE, b. ca. 1733. Their son William JEFFERSON (ca. 1768, Pr. Geo. Co. - bef. census of 1820, Hardy Co., VA) m. Mary _. Children of William JEFFERSON, b. ca. 1768: William (b. ca. 1800), Rebecca, Mary, Bryan, & Martha.
