I thought I would reply since no one else has. Elizabeth Webb (b. ca. 1657) that married Robert Kemp was the daughter of Edmond Webb and Elizabeth ????. Edmond and Elizabeth were in Maryland by 1659 according to various Publications. It appears that Edmond was buying land in Kent and Talbot Cos., MD (It appears to be the same person). I am researching my John Webb that married Armarall Tucker est. bet. 1724-1727, maybe earlier. They resided in Kent Co., Maryland from that point on until their deaths. We are not sure where our John Webb originated from. There were several Webb family lines in Talbot Co., MD that came directly from England, London to Philadelphia to Talbot Co., MD and some from Virginia (supposedly Isaac) to Kent Co., Delaware that was most likely originally part of Kent Co., MD before the land disputes were settled. I am at a loss as to where my John Webb originated from or fits in. There were so many Webb families in the area that married more than once (especially widows) and I've yet to find Church Records clearly identifying my specific John Webb. I hope this helps! There was also a Thomas Webb (b. ca. 1651 & d. ca.1714 Kent Co., MD buried at St. Pauls Church) who married a widow Sarah Jones that had dealings with a Thomas Thackiston(e)[Theckiston, Thaxton, Thaxstone, ect.] that were dealing in land around Still Pond [Steel Pone], Kent Co., MD around the same time period as your Timothy Webb? My father may eventually submit a DNA sample to the Webb Surname Project. Don't you belong? Any comments or input would be greatly appreciated.
