Thanks for the info on Barbara Magruder. I had the Alexander/Samuel/James relationship but I did not have any siblings for John Read Magruder other than his brother, Enoch.

Also, I have James as "James Beall Magruder" m. Barbara Coombs, however. I also have his death date at 1775. I have the same notation for 1778/9, per the Clan Gregor Yearbook, and another source saying 1775. Since this James does not show up in the 1776 Maryland Census, I currently have chosen to list his death at 1775 (or Bef. 1776) until I can find something conclusive either way.

James Magruder, the son of Ninian and Elizabeth Brewer, I have 1723-1795, per the DAR Patriot Index, Part 2, Centennial Edition; m. Mary Bowie. I also have this relationship by the family tree: Tree name: Yowell, DeJarnette, Averill of VA, SC 1560-1995
