Seeking any mention of the name MONTENY / MOUNTNEY in Kent, Talbot, Cecil, Queen Anne's Cos. 1700-1750. trying to identify the father of Wm. MOUNTENY d. 1752 Cecil Co. (Next of kin: James RASIN / RAISIN and Richard HUKILL) and sister Elizabeth b. c. 1705, mar. Richard HUKILL of Back Creek Hundred, Cecil Co. c. 1723.

Father was son of Alexander MOUNTENY / MONTENY, Jr. b. c. 1630 Elizabeth City, Vir. s/o Alexander MOUNTNEY (1591-d. 1643-Northampton Co., Vir.) and Hannah (BOYLE) (b. 1601 d. 1659-Lancaster Co., Vir.). Alexander Jr. in Patapsco, Baltimore Co. by 1662; found in court records in Kent in 1673 and Talbot Cos. 1670; living Baltimore Co. 1686. Alexander MOUNTNEY MONTENEY Jr. had a daughter Elizabeth mar. by 1696 to James TODD s/o Thomas and Anne (GORSUCH) TODD of Patapsco; d. 1697 leaving 1 daughter Anne (mar. Joseph JOHNSON 1713; d. c. 1743).
