INDEX TO HOWARD CO BURIALS? (PARTINGTON)

My 4g-grandfather, Richard Partington (1775-1841), died in Shelby County, Ohio, but doesn't appear to be buried there. His wife, Ellen, was buried in Dayton, Ohio, in 1856. Richard was an early postmaster of Ellicott City, and I'm wondering if he was possibly buried near there? Is there any kind of index available by surname for burials in Howard County? Am interested in any Partington references in Maryland in general....
