I am reposting this in hopes that someone can help me with information of my gr gr grandparents.
I am hoping for a little help in researching my 2nd great grandparents, William Brown and Elizabeth Lane. William was born around 1800 and Elizabeth around 1811, both in Frederick County, Maryland. I am not sure when they wed but they had their first child in 1833. William's parents were William and Anna Elizabeth (Buhrman) Brown. They were buried in Brown Cemetery, Foxville, Frederick County. Willam Jr. and Elizabeth had seven children, four sons and three daughters. They are Elizabeth Brown, 1833-?, Martin Luther Brown, 1836-1819, Ignatius Franklin Brown, 1838-1922, Ann Mary Brown, 1843-?, Rebecca M.Brown, 1846-?, my great grandfather, William Cornelius Brown, 1848-1909, and Thomas Brown, 1951-1943. After they had their children, they moved to Miami County, Ohio (sometime after 1860 census). I assume they lived their till their deaths as most of their children are buried in that area. I did not find where they are buried yet, so I am not sure if it is in Ohio or Maryland. I am very badly in need of who Elizabeth's parents were and when William and she married. If there is any other information you have on them, I would so enjoy and appreciate it. Also I am not sure if Elizabeth was her proper name or a middle name in which she was called. On all of her son's death certificates it states her maiden name as Elizabeth Lane. Thanks in advance for any information. =)
