Across the Years in Prince George's Co., quoting MD Genealogical Bulletin of 1 Oct. 1936: Roger WHEELER and his wife came from England and had in America, Ann WHEELER, who married Captain Thomas FOGG & had a dau. Ann FOGG, who m. Stephen WARNER. Captain FOGG was lost at sea, and his widow married, (before 30 Apr. 1731, when they administered the estate of Capt. FOGG) Thomas CLAGETT & had Henry, Sarah, b. 4 Jan. 1735, and Posthumus CLAGETT.
"Marlborough Plains," later known as "Blythewood," was formerly the dwelling plantation of Elizabeth CONDON, who devised [by will, pr. 14 Mar. 1757] to her son Samuel WARNER, who conveyed to Thomas CLARK, who devised [by will pr. 14 Oct. 1766] to his daughter Elizabeth SPRIGG. It descended to her son John Clark SPRIGG, who conveyed to John Read MAGRUDER, who deeded to Elisha BERRY. Elisha BERRY recorded, 21 Sep. 1795, relinquishment of dower of Barbara, wife of John R. MAGRUDER, in part of "Marlborough Plains."
