According to the following abstract of a power of attorney we find the heirs of John McGuire of Jefferson Co., OH. This power was found in Frederick Co., MD land records Liber WR 32 folio 32-33. The document was signed on December 2, 1807 in Jefferson Co., OH and recorded on January 2, 1808 in Frederick Co., MD.
Power of attorney between Edward Owings and the heirs of John McGuire, late of Jefferson CO., OH claiming title to a certain tract of land in Frederick Co., MD called Patience Care. The heirs being Benjamin and Patience Doyle, John McGuire, Philip and Elizabeth Cahill, Philip and Mary Ward, Daniel and Jemima Ward and Moses and Catherine Thompson, and Samuel and Mary Tipton, late Mary McGuire widow of John McGuire.
