The Davis, Kinder, and Noble Reunion book for 1930-1935-1940 lists Solomon as being born near Glasgow Pencader hundred, New Castle Co.. William (of Celtic stock ) who was his father, came from Wales as a boy about 1684, being about 16, along with his brothers, sisters, and father and mother. Solomon Davis patented land in Dorchester Co., Md called "Solomon's Hope" in the year 1709, near what was then called " North West Fork Bridge", which is now called Federalsburg Md.
