Will of Ann Berry Charles County Maryland 1798
No property named. But livestock given would indicate living on her property. Hard to believe she is Humphrey Berry's widow. He named daughter, Leticia and Martha in his will. I can't understand why he didn't name the other daughters. He appears a wealthy man with all the property he owned. The Berry Family of Charles County Maryland by Arthur Keith could not place this Ann.

Ann Berry Will
In the Name of God Amen I Ann Berry being very sick and weak in body but of being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament. Commends soul to Heaven, body to earth, etc, etc. I do hereby dispose of my estate in the following manner. I give and bequeath to my daughter Lydia Marlow one cow with calf. I give and bequeath to my daughter Verlinda Acton one cow. I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Barbary Acton daughter to Verlinda Acton one cow calf and its?.I give and bequeath to my grandson Hansom Marlow son to John Marlow one feather bed and furniture. I give and bequeath to my grandson William Marlow son to my daughter Lydia Marlow one four year old horse. I give and bequeath all the remainder and the residue of my estate be it of what kind to my grandson John Marlow son of my daughter Lydia Marlow to him and his heirs forever. Lastly, I do nominate, constitute, and appoint my grandson John Marlow sole executor of this my last will and testament. Hereby revoking and declaring any other wills null and void all or any other will or wills by me heretofore made so I do declare and pronounce my hand and seal this second day of January in the year of Our Lord and Savior one thousand and seven hundred and ninety eight. Witness: John Robinson , Thomas Acton?, Elisha Padgett.
