Mark: Benjamin Davis b. 1777 in MD. iS this not the Benjamin WE have been looking for? Ben migrated from MD to he first located in Williamsport, Deer Creek Twp. on the Geroge Wood Farm. He moved to IN where he d. March. Look for the Bechtolds WorldConnect Project.
As I remember BEnjamin had two unnamed wives before he m. Maria Bruget in 1840. Elizabeth Burget (maiden name unknown) was probaly wife #3. I also show a Maria was the widow of Henry Burget who d. abt. 1836/7. She and Benjamin were m. 12 Nov 1840. The 1850 Census shows the family included:
Eliza Davis, b.1842. m. Zibe Herrington
Malisia Davis b. 1844, m Joshua Lindsey
Eliza Davis, b. 1848
Emly Burget, 1833 m. Samuel Neal
Rachel Burget,b 1836, m. Adam Tilton
William Burget, b. 1838 m,. Margaret Armstrong.
Francis M Burget, b. 1840
and a SArah A Burget who m. John Huffman- John Huffman b, 1741 was the father of Mary Huffman who m. Abel Davis.
