Thank you so much, as you've just confirmed my line of Alexander's. In the 1850 census Margaret McCauley has living with her a Rachel Bennett, who is my gggrandmother, she was pregnant in 1850 with an illegitimate son, James Andrew Bennett, and was sent to her Aunt Margaret's to have her baby. I have a picture of Margaret's son Samuel McCauley which is on my tree at Rachel's mother was Rebecca Alexander (d:abt 1843) and there was another sister Mary S Alexander. I had made the connection of Margaret McCauley's brothers by the 1860 census and Hugh B Alexander listed with her. I cannot find her parentage.
