I did not recognize the name of Margaret McCauley, so I checked the census. When I saw the 1860 census that had Hugh B. and Mary A. Alexander living with Margaret,I had a clue. Have you been to Sharp's Graveyard? There is a big (new) stone for this branch of (Thomas)Alexanders. I have been trying to find a connection to them, as my Alexanders lived very near them and his brothers. Hugh & Mary are the children of Thomas (b. abt.1795). Thomas had a brother Robert (b.abt.1805) and William (b.abt.1807).Your Margaret fits right in there with b.1797.I have been searching for the parents of Thomas, Robert and William and any information. The next time I am at Sharp's, I will look for McCauley stones, if it will help. I don't know if any of this helps you, but Good luck!
