Larry,

I have not done any research on the Biddle family. I have however collected some information on them because George Biddle married Francis Ann Perkins, the daughter of my 3rd great grandfather, John Day Perkins. I have not attempted to document nay of the Biddle info.

But what I have is that a John Biddle was born in England in 1661 and immigrated to Maryland. He married Marry Jones. John died in St. Stephens Parish, Cecil Co. on or about 16 May 1734. This John was the great grandfather of the above mentioned George Biddle. I only list one child for John and Mary and he was Stephen Biddle born in Cecil co on 7 March 1731/2 and died 9 September 1795 in St. Stephens Parish, Cecil co.

As I say, I have no documentation for the above, but perhaps this gives a lead.

Incidentally, I am still trying to learn something about “Collets town”, which I believe was a tract of land in Cecil Co. I am interested because that name is mentioned in the will of one of my great grandfathers’ will describing property that he left to a child. I think the tract is on Elk Neck but then I simply don’t yet know.

Please let me know if we can work together more.

Fred
