If anyone is willing to do a look-up for me at the Elkton Court House, I would GREATLY appreciate the help. My grandmother and second husband supposedly got married in Elkton, MD. No one has the date for certain, but as their first child was born in Aug. 1942, I would think that it would possibly be somewhere between 1940 to 1943.
The names I am looking for are:
Gertrude E. (Bellesfield) SCHLEGEL
and Louis William GRATHER, Sr.
"BELLESFIELD" is grammy's maiden name and I do not know if she would have used that name or her first married name of SCHLEGEL. I would think the latter, as she had several children by her first husband.
Any help is greatly appreciated and I would return the favor if you needed something from Oklahoma or something I could gleen from my subscription of Ancestry.com for you. I would also like the certificate number so that I could order a copy of the lisc. Thanks so much!
