Looking for information on ancestors of Joshua Davis, born 1762 in Maryland, possibly Carroll County, moved to Rowan Co. NC about 1780. Seeking his parent's names. He may have been the son of a Uriah Davis who came to Baltimore from Wales in Feb. of 1732, and died in 1767. Uriah's children were:
Solomon, Uriah, William, Diana, Shadrack, Rachel, Meshack, Abednego, Maria and Joshaway (possibly Joshua).

Also seeking information on Thomas Davis and Mary Pierpont family of Maryland. Thomas' son Richard married Ruth Warfield and they had a son named Joshua, born Sept. 13, 1737,in Anne Arundel County, who may be the father of my Joshua Davis, born 1762.
