Found Stephen Penn in Carroll Co. 1840 census. Stephen is son of John Penn & Ann Gartrell Penn of Mont. Co. MD.
also believe the following are Stephen & Eleanor Scrivener Penn's children: John, Ann, Rebecca, Julia, Stephen, & John S.
In 1800 Stephen was next door to Rebecca Scrivener (mother-in-law) in AA. Co. Rebecca died 1820, will was witnessed by Edward Penn and will was presented for probate by Edward Penn.
In 1824 Stephen signed off on sale of all land from his father's estate in Mont. Co. along with his brother Edward and nephew Stephen Penn of Ohio (son of John Penn & Eleanor of Pike Co. OH)
Would like to hear from any descendants of this line.
