Sam's Creek Methodists

Is anyone familiar with a Methodist Church called Sam's Creek that would have been around in the late 1700's in old Baltimore Co (now Carroll Co), Maryland. I am trying to trace some of its members at the time: the Tevis family and other families that were around the area. Any information on this church or other Methodist Churches in Carroll Co in the late 1700's would be appreciated. Thanks. Lana Tevis Griffin
