Marilyn, you have certainly been doing your -- my -- homework. Your information is impressive. As for my specific connection, I am sure that John and Robert Brown of the 1812 War Frederick Co MD enlistments were brothers or something, because they both enlisted and mustered out on the same days. I have requested John's NARA pension file - strangely Robert didn't request an 1812 War pension, according to White's bibliography. Their origins? I think maybe from Abel in AA County but no connection as yet.
