Indeed it does. Was John the one who enlisted in the War of 1812 from Frederick County? If St Paul's was in W Baltimore Co -- the Delaware Lower Hundred, which became Carroll -- then the trail grows warmer.

You may have an answer to these questions. BTW, Robert Brown m Sarah Elder in that church, in 1803 if I'm not mistaken. He may have been John's brother because they enlisted together and were mustered out together during the War of 1802.
