My grandmother Bessie Harmon Butcher was born in Westminister 17 May 1893. Her mother was
Emma Frock according to SS records and papers
that admitted Bessie to The Home of the Friendless 10 Feb 1899 as being destitute. The mother had singed her over but never reclaimed her and when Bessie was 10 she was
sent as an oprhan and servant to the Zacharey Waters family in Laytonsville Montgomery Co
Md. My question is does anyone know anything about Emma Frock or the Frock family of Carroll Co. I understand that there is a big family of that name in
Westminister where my grandmother was born.
