Mrs. Sarah Biddle Pippin was born to James and Elizabeth Biddle of Hazleville, Del. Her sister is Mary Biddle Moore of Marydel, Md.
1935 Mrs. Sarah Biddle Pippin for sixteen years a resident of Ridgely, died of pneumonia at her home here early on Friday morning of last week. She would have reached the age of 76 had she lived until February 13th. She was the widow of Robert E. Pippin, who died about seven years ago and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Benjamin Mahan of Henderson and three sons: Miflin of Ridgely, Luther of Denton, and William N. of Chester PA. There are also thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the late home Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock, with Rev. H.E. Uhrig, pastor of the Holiness Church in Denton, and Rev Leon Ross, pastor of the Methodist Church of Ridgely, officiating. Burial was in Greensboro Cemetery. January 12, 1925 pg 5 Denton Journal

1931 Mrs. Mary Moore was taken ill on Thursday and died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willard James. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon in the Methodist Church at Marydel. The burial was at Templeville. Mrs. Moore was nearly eighty four years old having been born in April of 1847 in Hazleville, Del, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Biddle. She was married about 1872 to Mr . Washington C. Moore and they made their home in Marydel, where he died in 1904. During her twenty seven years of widowhood, though she kept her home in Marydel, Mrs. Moore has been much known in Ridgely and was well known and well loved here. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sarah Pippin of Ridgely, a son Mr. James Moore of Seaford, by two daughters, Mrs. C. P. O’Day of Bridgeville, and Mrs. Willard Jones of Ridgely and by nine grandsons and seven granddaughters among whom are Misses Mable and Viola Jones, of Ridgely, Three grandsons, Edgar, Edwin and Morgan O’Day of Bridgeville and three grandnephews, Irvin Hevalow and Norris and Clifton Diefenderfer of Ridgely, were her pall bearers. 1928 WEEKLY RIDGELY NEWS LETTER Mr. Robert Pippin died on Monday evening shortly after six oclock. He was born September 16, 1858 the son of John and Rebecca Pippin of this county. He married Miss Sara Biddle forty four years ago on the tenth of this month. They settled on a farm near Ingleside, but came to Ridgely about ten years ago. His health has been impaired for several years past. His last illness dates from about the first of October , and he suffered such during the last two weeks. His passing was very quiet. His wife survives and three sons, Mifflin and Luther James of near Ridgely, and William Noble of Chester PA and Pearl, who is Mrs. Mahan, of Henderson. He also leaves a brother Davis Pippin of Henderson. He was a member of the Holiness church of Denton. Funeral was held at the home on Thursday morning. Jan 7, 1928 Denton Journal pg 5
