I don't believe the Lewin family moved to Preston in 1910.

There is a William Arthur Lewin who was born 2/2/1892 in River Head, NY registered for WWI in Caroline Co., MD. From what I can gather, he married Anna Worm who was born in NY and was the daughter of Joseph Worm. Mr. Worm was residing in River Head, NY in 1910 but was living in Caroline Co., MD by 1914. Anna and William were living in Caroline Co., MD in 1920 and their three children were born in MD (Alfred, Dorothy and Lillian).

However, I cannot find the family in the 1930 census living in either Maryland or New York. I did find an article in the Denton Journal, Denton, MD from 1935 that shows they were living in Yaphank, NY and were visiting Mr. Worm.

One of Anna's sisters died in 2003 and her obituary indicated she was born in River Head, NY.

In checking the 1900 census, it appears that William Arthur Lewin was the son of August Lewis who immigated to the US in about 1885 from Germany.

Hope this helps.
