I did check through the archived Denton Journal for you and found MANY articles on Barwicks including:

the mention of a 1756 document showing a grant of land to Edward Barwick in a part of Dorchester County which is now Caroline County. The 148 acres was in the vicinity of Chilton's camp ground and called Charing Cross

Death of Mary Barwick 33, widow of Wm Edward Barwick , mother of John Barwick sister of Mrs. Thomas Wyatt, daughter of the late Robert Henry and Elizabeth Dill Adams Plummer of Talbot County. Denton Journal 1944

A 1949 death notice of Mary Emily Barwick Porter, widow of John Porter, a Denton Railroadman

Did not find anything on Mary Townsend. Good luck in your search.
