I have managed to identify everyone in Richard Bennett's 26 Sep 1749 will but this family group. Richard Smith, Richard's daughters Margaret Smith, Priscilla Brown, and Ann Brooks and Ann's nieces, Ann Bell and Priscilla Bell.
Richard Bennett identifies some of this family group in these phrases:
"To cousin Priscilla Brown, wife of Charles Brown"
"To cousin Ann Brooks, ...being given by this will to her sister Priscilla Brown"
"To cousin Margaret Smith, dau. of Captain Richard Smith"
" give to sd. cousin Margaret Smith and to her sister, Priscilla Brown."
"To Anne Bell, a little girl that now lives with me and is under the care of her aunt, sd. cousin Ann Brooks...to her sister Priscilla Bell, now with Charles Browne"
In his will, Charles Brown d. bef 23 May 1765 mentions "be given to such child. of Nathaniel Beal, by Elizabeth, his late wife, my sister-in-law".
Was this Richard Smith the son of Richard Smith and Elizabeth Brooke? Who would have been his wife? Were Margaret, Priscilla, Ann, and Elizabeth his daughters? What happened to Margaret and the two Beall children?
Any help appreciated.
