Is anyone researching the CALVERT surname in Calvert Co, MD?
I have CALVERT ancestors who owned Maryland long before statehood, while it was still a colony. George Calvert, my 10th Great Grand Uncle, was the first proprietor of Maryland and the first Lord Baltimore. Several of his sons and grandsons were the 2nd through 6th Lords Balitmore also, my distant cousins. One of his sons was the first governor of Maryland.
