BARNES' Abstracts of Land Records of Balto. Co., MD: "Nova Scotia," 1500 acres patented to Thomas STERLING of Calvert Co., Gent., whose will left 500 acres to his brother Wm. DERUMPLE, which descended to DERUMPLE's son John & grandson John. Christian ADAIR of Kent Co., widow of Alexander ADAIR of Kent Co., 25 Apr. 1746, conveyed 500 acres to Robert ADAIR of Balto. Co. In 1748, Robert and Christian ADAIR conv. 1000 acres to John HALL, et al. On 11 Oct. 1749, Christian, widow & exx/o Dr. Alexander ADAIR & only heir of Thomas STERLING of Kent Co., decd.; and Robert ADAIR, s/o Alex. & Christian, conveyed 100 acres to Col. John HALL, Jacob GILES, & Isaac WEBSTER.

Alexander ADAIR, Calvert Co., chirurgeon, & wf. Christian, 29 D 1725, conveyed to Richard CASWELL, 230 acres, "Sterling's Purchase," which Thomas STERLING bought from Thos. RICHARDSON, 18 Mar. 1699.
