BARNES' Baltimore Co. Families: Miles FOY was in Baltimore Co. by 4 Oct. 1728, when he signed an antenuptial contract with Frances, b. ca. 1676, relict of Daniel JOHNSON & Hugh GRANT. On 27 Dec. 1751, administrative bond was posted by Daniel SULLIVAN with Robert BRIARLY & Thomas HALLAM. Winifred & Daniel SULLIVAN were also mentioned as alternate heirs in the will of Miles FOY. [BARNES doesn't have the other husband listed between Daniel JOHNSON & Hugh GRANT.] Baltimore Co. Deed Abstracts: "Eightrupp," 500 acres, was surveyed 29 Dec. 1664, for Thomas GRIFFITH on the west side of Susquehanna River. GRIFFITH gave it to partner Henry HAZLEWOOD. It was sold by HAZLEWOOD exs. to Richard PERKINS & Wm. LOFTIN. William LOFTON conveyed 200 acres to Daniel JOHNSON, 16 Aug. 1701. Richard PERKINS, cooper, & wf. Mary conveyed 32 acres to Daniel JOHNSON 2 Mar. 1702. A deed of 28 N 1741 mentions that Richard PERKINS, father of the current owners, had sold part to Daniel JOHNSON. Deeds are supposed to be in the book to 1750, so I do not know why FOY isn't mentioned. The will of Miles gives 150 acres of "Eighropp" to Frances. [Apparently it was hers before marriage anyway!] Thomas FOY is mentioned in other Baltimore Co. deeds in the 1740's. Francis (sic) FOY had will made 23 S 1756, pr. 14 Dec. 1756, Fredk. Co., granddau. Sarah HONSUMET, exx. Wit: Westall & Wm. RIDGLEY & Nathl. WALKER. Andrew FOY made will 4 Mar. 1773, pr. 15 Aug. 1775, St. Mary's Co. Wife Barbara, exx. & sole legatee. Wit: Joseph LEIGH & Benjm. KINDUIK.
