Hello:
My GGGGG grandfather, Joseph Brown married Ann Windsor in December 1799 in Montgomery County, MD. Joseph Brown was born in about 1775 - 1779. It appears as if his brother was John A. Brown of Montgomery County, MD. I do not know who was the father of Joseph Brown and that is what I would like to determine, in addition to additional generations if that is possible.
I do not know where my Brown family lived before coming to Montgomery County, MD. And I have throughly searched the records in Montgomery County, MD and can find no clues.
Therefore perhaps my Brown family originated elsewhere.
Family lore suggests that Joseph Brown's father was killed in the 1780s. Family lore also suggests that Joseph Brown may have had a brother named Thomas Brown. However, this is not documented and only speculation.
Would anyone be willing to do some research in Baltimore County, MD for my Brown family? Perhaps there is a Will or some record that will connect my Joseph Brown to his father. I will of course pay for this search, lookup, research, etc.
