P., 6, KY. (All other births in MD.) Nearby were Frederick H. SEWELL, 30; wf. Alice, 28; son Marion H., 5; & mother-in-law Annie DAVIS, 62. (Annie's parents b. Ger. & PA. Others all MD.) Joseph HINTON & Martha were in Precinct 6. Could Emma have had a prior marriage? I don't see an Emma McKENZIE nearby, but there's an Emma CHILDS only two households away from Wm. R. SEWELL. William E. might be an ancestor, but I don't know the connection. Records of St. Paul's, Baltimore: William E. SEWELL & wf. Frances had dau. Anne, b. 31 Sep. 1798 {sic}, bpt. 4 Jan. 1800. These are in Robert BARNES' Maryland Marriages, 1800 - 1820, Baltimore County, SEWELL: Richard, 29 Dec. 1814, Susan HUGHES; Benjamin, 23 May 1819, Mary SMITH, both First M. E. Church. Jno. 29 Dec. 1810, Elizab,. GAREY, Zion Lutheran Church. Anne Arundel Co., Wills Index has a Wm. SEWELL, 1847, BEG1:41, p. 7. I don't see any Wm. SEWELL in the deeds, but the book, Baltimore Co. Deed Abstracts has these. Philip SEWELL, with consent of wf. Sarah, conveyed 100 acres of "Sewell's Coffer" 17 Aug. 1724, to Lancelott TODD. Joshua SEWELL conveyed 100 acres, "Sewell's Contrivance," & 150 a. "Sewell's Hope," 14 Apr. 1727, to Thos. COCKEY. Clare TASKER, Calvert Co., conveyed a thousand acres, "Sewell's Farm," given her by her father Nicholas SEWELL, to Wm. DIGGS of PG Co. & Col. John SMITH of Calvert Co., 15 Jan. 1733. "Sewell's Relief," surveyed 1744 for Samuel SEWELL & Philip JONES. Samuel SEWELL, with consent of wf. Mary, conveyed 17 May 1750 to Andrew SCOTT of PG Co. Does anything fit?
