Looking for any information about Emanuel SAMPSON, b. bet. 1740 and 1750 and believed to have lived in Baltimore Co., Maryland. According to other researchers, in the Sullivan Co. TN Deed Bk. 10, p. 37, there is an indenture concerning a land sale made in 1822 bet. Aaron CROCKETT and his wife, Nancy CROCKETT (my ggg grandparents); Jesse ROGERS and his wife, Chloe ROGERS; John CROSS and his wife, Rachel CROSS; David ROGERS and his wife, Lydia ROGERS; and Nathaniel MORGAN and his wife, Polly MORGAN, "heirs of Emanuel SAMPSON,dec". (The women listed were the daughters of Emanuel.) I don't know if Emanuel ever actually lived in Sullivan Co. or just owned land there. I'd be interested in knowing where he lived in 1810 or 1820, according to census. Also, I'd like to know anything that anyone might be willing to share about his ancestry. He married Mary ROYSTON in Baltimore Co., MD in 1781 and had the above listed daughters. I don't know if there were other children. I'd appreciate any info about Emanuel SAMPSON. Thanks very much. Brenda
