Let's see whether we can straighten this out. I believe the wife of the first Thomas PRATT of Anne Arundel preceded him in death. The second Thomas died in 1711 and his widow Jane in 1720.

Thomas PRATT, AA, 1 May 1711, 11 July 1711. To sons Thomas, Joseph, & John, "Pratt's Security," & "Pratt's Choice." If sons dsp,, to dau. Ann, then to heirs of sister Elizabeth. Residue to wf. Jane. Exs. John ANDERSON & Edwd. PARRISH. Wit. Alex. TANZEY, Danll. OSBURN, Thos. NORRIS.

Anne Arundel Gentry, by H. W. NEWMAN: Thomas PRATT, widower, by will of 14 Aug. 1686, pr. 22 Apr. 1687, bequeathed son John to John WATERS, to dwell and serve to age 20, and dau. Susanna to age 16.

F. Edward WRIGHT's Anne Arundel Church Records, St. James Parish:

Thomas PRATT & Jane had son Thomas, b. 6 July 1698 at Leonard's Creek.

Abstracts of Land Records of Anne Arundel Co., MD: Samll. LANE, AA, physician, deeded 9 Dec. 1678, recorded Jan. 1678, for valuable considerations to Wm. PARKER of the Clyfts, Calvert Co., Gent, original patent of 16 Jan. 1659 to John CUMBER, AA, for Cumberstone on north side of West River west of Cedar Creek. Cumber willed to wf. Judith. By indenture of 2 Dec. 1678, Wm. PARKER & wf. Judith, relict of John CUMBER, sold to Samuel LANE. Current indenture includes all of the original 600 acres, except part sold by John CUMBER to Thomas PRATT & John GYLES for life, then to heirs of Judith & Wm. PARKER. Rerecorded at request of James HEATH on behalf of Eliza BIRCKERFEILD / BUCKERFIELD. [There is a reverse of the above on the same date.]

Thomas & wf. Jane PRATT, AA, deeded 9 Jan. 1709, recorded 3 May 1710, for fifty pounds sterling, orig. grant of 5 Aug. 1664 to Thomas PRATT, father of Thomas, for "Turkey Hill" between lands of John BURRAGE & George PASCALL. Indenture included all of Turkey Hill except Turkey Island.

Early Settlers of MD...from Land Patents... by Gust SKORDAS: Thomas PRATT immigrated by 1659 [4:212].
