Here are some of the records that may either sort this out or add to the confusion. :-)

Zachariah MACCUBBINS & Susanna had son John, bpt. 31 {13?} Nov. 1713, bu. 19 Nov. 1713; dau. Susanna, bpt. 25 Feb. 1716, bu. 13 Mar. 1716; James, bu. 14 May 1718; James, bpt. 30 Sep. 1719.

WARFIELD's Founders of AA & Howard Cos., MD, says that cousin in the above will meant nephews and nieces; also, Henry PINKNEY married the widow of Philip HOWARD.]

Zachariah MACCUBBIN, AA, 11 Jan. 1753, 24 Mar. 1753. To dau. Elizabeth HOOD, "Wilson's Grove," then to grandson Zachariah HOOD, at his decease to son Zachariah MACCUBIN. To ch. Susannah, Nicholas (ex.), & James MACCUBIN & Ann LINGAN. Wit. Richard BRYANT, John SCOTT, John JACOBS.

Abstracts of Land Records of Anne Arundel Co., MD: Thos. TALLY / TOLLEY, Henry PINCKNEY, Edward RUMNEY, Charles KILBORNE, Christopher SMYTHERS, & William GIBBONS, AA, Gent., are bound to John, Samuel, & Elizabeth MACCUBBINS, children of John & Deborah MACCUBBINS in the sum of 150 pounds sterling, dated 15 Mar. 1706/7. according to the last will & testament of Samll. COWARD {HOWARD}, decd. Wit. Joh. BEALE, Saml. DORSEY.

First three above were also bound to Samuel, James, Prisilla, & Rachell HOWARD, orphans of Phillip HOWARD, decd., 15 Mar. 1706/7. Henry PINCKNEY was to pay each when of age. Same witnesses.

[Page torn, John] _ MACCUBIN by his last will & testament devised "Wardrop" to his four sons.
Samuel & wf. Elizabeth, Wm. & wf. Jane, & Zachariah & wf. Susannah sold to Moses, 6 Sep. 1711.

Zachariah & wf. Susanna MACCUB[B]IN[S], 14 Jan. 1711, recorded 29 Jan. 1712, sold for sixty pounds sterling to Phillip HALL, 50 acres, part of "Mill Haven" bounded by "Beaver Dam Neck."

Robt. BARNES' MD Marriages: Zachariah MACCUBBIN m. 7 Nov. 1745, St. Paul's, BA, Sarah NORWOOD.

Anne Arundel Gentry by Harry W. NEWMAN: Edward DORSEY (Oct. 1728, Queen Caroline Parish - 179_ ) m. 29 July 1750, Eliz. "Betty" GILLISS, b. 9 Sep. 1730, dau/o Mary HILL & Ezekiel GILLISS. Betty DORSEY and Henry GILLISS approved appraisal of the estate of Ezekiel GILLISS in Dec. 1750. Edward DORSEY sold to Charles GILLIS, 28 Feb. 1796, Balto. Co. Edward DORSEY & Elizabeth had Edward Hill DORSEY, b. 8 Apr. 1760, m. 5 June 1781, Deborah MACCUBIN, daughter of Zachariah MACCUBIN & Sarah NORWOOD: Press announcement: Married 5 June 1781, by the Reverend Mr. WEST, Edward DORSEY to Deborah MACCUBIN.

I would guess that Zachariah MACCUBIN & Susanna NICHOLSON, married 1704, had Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Ann, b. ca. 1706/8/10, whose birth records were not kept or were lost. Then they had the children who died young: John, Susanna (1), and James (1), b. 1713/16/18. They must then have had another James, b. 1719, and another Susanna. Zachariah may have been youngest because he married in 1747.

John MACCUBIN & Ann had a dau. Debrah, b. 1700, but his will names dau. Deborah WILKINS.
