Gust SKORDAS' Early Settlers of MD (from land records): Alexander TANSEY was transported by 1680, [Liber WC2:406]. [Do you have the record to show by whom he was transported and for how long he served? Often the year was when they received land, later than the year of arrival by up to seven years, depending on how long they served for their transportation.] F. Edwd. WRIGHT's Anne Arundel Church Records, St. James Parish: Alexander TANZEY & Mary had Ann, b. 26 Oct. 1696, & Rebeckah Ganzey, b. 28 Dec. 1698. [I don't know whether Ganzey was just Tanzey with an error in transcription.] Alexander TANZEY m. 20 Jan. 1704, Mary PARSONS, & had Matha {sic}, b. 9 Feb. 1705; Alexander, b. 19 Aug. 1707; Abraham, b. 12 July 1711; & Mary, b. 8 May 1713. Alexander TANZEY was buried 9ber [probably November] 1713. Mary TANSEY m. 2 Feb. 1715, Daniell OSBORN. I don't see a will for Alexander in MD Calendar of Wills, but he witnessed the will of Benjamin CAPELL, AA, 9 May 1711, pr. 20 Aug. 1711. Benjamin CAPELL had married Isabell(a) _ , whose will was made & pr. 1717. She was widow of Thomas PARSONS, will pr. 31 May 1684, AA. Thomas PARSONS had a dau. Mary, but she m. ca. 1684, Mordecai PRICE. [I believe Mordecai & Mary were my ancestors.] Good Luck! Notify Administrator about this message?
