Mavinee McWhorter Suggs
HOMER, LA - Graveside funeral services will be held for Mrs. Mavinee McWhorter Suggs, 95, at the Lisbon Methodist Church Cemetery in Lisbon, La. on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Terry Willis officiating.
Mrs. Suggs was born January 24, 1914 to Raymond Grady and Annie McWhorter. She entered into rest Wednesday September 2, 2009 in Homer, La. Mrs. Suggs was a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Suggs was preceded in death by her husband Prentis A. Suggs Sr. a daughter Jeanne Suggs, 4 brothers; R.G., Grady, Eugene and Wayne McWhorter, grandson Russell Shives and 2 great-grandchildren; John Bryant and Ashton Brooke McCurry.
She is survived by a son Sonny Suggs and wife Kay, daughters; Glenda Reagan and husband Duane, Annie Scriber and husband James E. and Barbara Trussell and husband Ray, sisters; Ava McWhorter, Louise Heberling and Bill, Pat Walker and husband Norman and Sylvia Baten and husband Tommy, a brother Leland McWhorter and wife Nancy, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
