The Elizabeth McWhorter aka Betty, Betsey, MacWhorter married Samuel McClure Jr. in Lancaster County South Carolina. In 1818 they moved their family to Clarke County, Alabama. Samuel wrote his Will Feb. 21, 1820.He died and his Will was proven the first Monday in Feburary 1821. His wife Elizabeth married Hyram (Hiram) Tommie April 21, 1821.
The first Monday in May 1821 John Drinkard, was appointed Guardian of the minor Children: John, Mary, James, Nancy & Samuel McClure. John Drinkard was their uncle.
I don't know when or where she died. I don't know where she came from or who her parents were. That is what is making a big hole in my family tree.
