John McWhorter, born abt. 1810 in Ireland and lived as a young man in County Armagh Ireland, were he married Mary Hoyle.
Together, they had one son, Robert McWhorter, who was born Feb 20 1834 in County Armagh, Ireland.
Mary died and John married Elizabeth Morrow (daughter of James Morrow and Elizabeth King) in Ireland, date unknown.
Together, John McWhorter and Elizabeth Morrow had four children: John McWhorter, born in Ireland in 1842, Isabella McWhorter, born Feb 21 1848 in Sarnia Township, Ontario, Canada, Jane McWhorter, born 1850 in Sarnia Township and David McWhorter, born 1852 (died Jan 15 1911 in New Westminister, B.C.) also in Sarnia Township.
Elizabeth Morrow died in 1856, in Sarnia Township. John again re-married, to Ann Thompson on Nov 25 1857, in Sarnia Township.
John McWhorter died in Arkon, Ontario, Oct 25 1888, his third wife, Ann, died Feb 7 1892.
I am hoping to learn more about John McWhorter and his parents. I hope this helps any other Canadian McWhorter researchers out there...
