We have letters from a Nancy McWhinney who I think lived at Ballyatwood within Ballywalter Parish in the 1870's and 1880's. I think she was a first cousin of my gg grandfather, Hugh McHarry (b 1807) so whe may have been of that vintage. Ballywalter is on the same Ards Penninsula as Portaferry. Please let me know if this is of interest.
