Hi Monique. My great grandpa's brother was named CHARLES LEBARON MCVOY but he was born around 1850. That would make your husband my distant cousin! My great grandpa was Martin. I found out from his Civil War Records that he was apprenticing as a machinist in Balto. when the Civil War broke out. Martin was apparently forced to fight for the North though the rest of the family were Confederate. Martin remained in MD for the rest of his life but must've kept in contact as there was a family will from Pensacola and he was mentioned, ca. earliest 1900's. We have a list on Rootsweb.com called MCVOY-L@ROOTSWEB.COM and also a family discussion list at http://www.yahoogroups.com/subscribe/byrne-gerald (gerald-byrne@yahoogroups.com) Gerald BYRNE was our ancestor whose daughter Margaret (BYRNS) married our ancestor WILLIAM (GUILLERMO MACABOY)MCVOY,SR in MOBILE on FEB14,1799. Their son, WILLIAM,JR. and wife JOSEPHINE (MARIA JOSEFA?)MCVOY were the parents of my MARTIN and the earlier CHARLES LEBARON MCVOY. My email is: cooltreons@hotmail.com GLAD TO MEET YOU! Bonnie McVoy Treon
