Hi Karen....I have lots of names and dates...but I don't have your names. You are probably right about your Irish McVitty being Scottish..as 100 years before the Highland Clearances..many British and Scottish went to Ireland as the jobs were good. My McVitty's are from Kirkandrews upon Esk which is right on the border...hence alot of them literally walked over the border when they walked out their front door. For example I heard that one of the towns graveyards is in Scotland..which makes if difficult trying to locate them..especially if you are thinking England. I can send you a hard copy of my tree if you would like just in case you find a connection later on. If so, then email me your home address and I will get it off to you.

Thanks

Marlene
