William Isaac McVey (1834-??) TN/GA
Posted by: Leslie Cox (ID *****6436) Date: December 29, 2008 at 10:47:37
  of 1065

I am looking for any information on William Isaac McVey. He was born in Washington County, Tennessee and served for the CSA. From all records I can find, he disappeared from the Wilderness, Virginia in 1864, but there are no death or burial records anywhere. He was married to Sarah Catherine Carroll, and he had two children: William Isaac McVey (Jr) and Florida McVey Land. They lived in the Gilmer/ Fannin Co. Georgia area.

Any information at all would be appreciated. He seems to have appeared and disappeared with no records at all. His military record is the only piece of information I've been able to find. Thanks.
