The weird thing is I recently started back at filling in my line of McVey's and verifying sources and info I have -- I started with Henry McVey because I had some details but many questions.

I knew there might have been a cross over between the two branches of the Cecil County McVeys (Old John and Old Benjamin (McVeytown line)

What I have is kind of sketchy and since this is in the Old Benjamin line rather than my direct Old John line, I never hunted down the connections,

In the old Benjamin line, I have got the son of Old Benjamine and Martha Passmore marring Eleanor McCullough in 1787 and their daughter (don't have a given name) married another McCullough (not sure the relationship ad again no given name.

From Old John's line, we have Old John's great-great grand daughter, Elizabeth marring William G. McCullough.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Taggert (Nee Rawlings) McVey.

Does the earlier McCullough in Old Ben's line tie into William's McCullough line,

AS far as Henry's other children -- many did not married or died young with no living off-springs --

Rebecca M. McVey married a McKey -- can't find anything

Elizabeth J. McVey married William McCullough

Margaret McVey married Murphy -- I have some info but need to check on this -- posted some info

The twin girls Alice and Elenor appear to not have been married

Emma married a James Scott and had a son, Henry ... she died shortly after child birth and her son died a few month after birth

John R. McVey took over the farm after Henry died... It appears he remained single all his life -- still looking for info

William married Mary J and had a child who died young. still looking for info

Harriet also appears to have remained single, still looking for info

Much of this comes from transcripts of Penn Hill friends burial ground Search on Henry McVey and Genealogy and it should be near the top of the hits. I also can find the link if you have no luck.

Thus, the Henry's descendants maybe hard to come by.

Henry was a Quaker as were some of the others in Old John's line. Not sure about the McCullough. The Passmores were also. Quaker records maybe a source of info.
