Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
In his will, John McVey named his "... six youngest children ... William, Charles, Nathaniel, Samuel W., Edley P., and Rachel Jane ..." The will's "youngest children" designation makes it clear there were other children. Of those others, only his "... son Thomas McVey ..." was named, appointed as one of the two executors.
McVey researchers then name two more children -- John McVey (to Macoupin Co. IL) and Margaret McVey, wife of Sauel M. Harris (to Jefferson Co. IA). Is anyone privy to the specific records, presumably in Todd Co., that prove these last two, already documented in those specific locations) are the final two children of the testator? Thanks! --Carl
