I have been looking over the outline you presented and wondering if my George McVaugh is connected. He was born Aug 1857 in Philadelphia. I don't have any information on his parents. I'm hoping there might be a connection to what you have...

There is a Granville with a son George & an Amos with a son, George in Philadelphia. In the 1840 US Pensioners Census Index, there is a John McVaugh from Philadelphia Co., PA listed as follows:

McVaugh, John Philadelphia Co., PA Original Document Page: 116 Age: 88 Living in Oxford
It remains to be seen if there is a connection to this McVaugh line.

Margaret is some relation to the McVaughs. Her husband, Alfred d: Oct. 3, 1899. He served in Co. B. (GAR) during the Civil War. Alfred is buried in Sec. #4, Row #9 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Centralia, Columbia Co., PA. This cemetery (off Rt. 61 just beyond Ashland) is in emminate danger from the still burning coal deposits under the town. Source: Schuylkill Co., Vitals Records Vol. 1, p. 434.

1890 US Census Unavailable. Not listed in the Ashland City Directory. Conclusion: Family must have moved back to Philadelphia prior to 1890.
