James Walker McSpadden was at the Battle of Wilson's Creek. A resident of Greene Co MO, he enlisted in the Confederate Army in 1861. He was elected Captain, Commision dated 8 feb 1862 The company was designated as Company C, 3rd Battalion, Missouri Calvary, C.S.A.
He also served in the army that fought in 1848 in Vera Cruz Mexico.
I do not know of a Federal soldier named McSpadden that was at Wilson's Creek. The National Park Service was in the process of naming the participants,or having folks name their ancestors who were there. Hope this helps,
