Thomas M. McSpadden (Moses Sr.1) was born on 15 Aug 1784 in Smyth Co., Virginia and died in Alabama.

Thomas married Elizabeth Lyle Walker, daughter of James Walkerand Jane (Jean) Thompson, on 7 Jan 1807 in Jefferson Co., Tennessee. (Elizabeth Lyle Walker was born on 17 Mar 1789 in Virginia and died in 1859 in Alabama.

Here are two of their children who settled in Dekalb, Alabama:

Moses E. McSpadden was born on 31 Dec 1815 in DeKalb Co., Alabama and died on 19 Dec 1853. Moses McSpadden entered land on the same day(in 1845) as did Samuel Stewart, a son of Robert and Polly Allen Stewart.

John W. McSpadden was born on 18 Feb 1818 and died in 1860. This John McSpadden was appointed guardian of the children of Samuel and Permelia Stewart after he died in 1855. These early Stewarts and McSpaddens are believed to be buried in the Lower Sulphur Springs Cemetery just north of Ft. Payne, Al.

Is there any possibility that these McSpaddens would be related to the Moses McSpadden who was the bondsman for Robert and Polly Allen Stewart in KnoxCo., Tn?
