My great-great-grandparents are Matthew McSorley and Jane Kelly. They emigrated circa 1850 from County Tyrone to Philadelphia.

Their first son, Patrick, was born in Ireland in 1949. Shortly thereafter, Matthew and Jane emigrated to America. My great-grandmother, Mary McSorely, was born in Philadelphia in 1851. Jane Kelly McSorley died in Philadelphia in 1860.

Matthew McSorely was killed in December 1862, fighting in the Union Army as a member of the Philadelphia Irish Regiment (69th Pa Inf) at the Battle of Fredericksburg.

Mary McSorely and Patrick McSorely survived, and were raised by the Kellys. who lived on Germantown Avenue. Persumeably, the Kellys are Jane's family.
