Hi Jane, Terence the father must have died in Ireland before his wife Sarah and family came to Scotland as there is no trace of him,(death cert. or cencus) Terence the son died 1872 in an accident at work in the Parkhead Forge Glasgow. I am going to Belfast either September or October. To try and find out which township and parish they came from. The information I have about where they came from is from 1861 cencus,71 Stewart St.Milton. Glasgow.
Michael McSorley,Head,Mar.age30,Labourer Chemical,Tyrone. Mary McSorley, wife.mar.age25 Armangh. Sarah Margaret,dau,single. age 4. Lanarkshire. Michael is Terence and Sarah's second son. There is also Susan and John all died in Scotland. I will keep a note of your posting and if I find brothers or sisters of Terence who went to U.S I will let you know.
