Richard,

You did not add to the confusion but sadly no connection was seen with the McSorley's I'm tracing. Brothers William, Patrick, John, Charles, Bernard (and possibly James) with a sister Bridget were in the Staten Island, NY area. They may have been related in some fashion back in the 'homeland' though.

There seems to be at least 4 sets of two or more brothers with landings in DE, Maine/Canada, MD, and NY. But this is strickly from memory of what I've read in the postings over time.

While I don't have a extraordinary amount of spare time, I think I'll try to gather the name 'sets' of all the brothers on the forum and post some type of listing of the findings. Maybe that information will help someone. It might also trigger a family connection in Ireland.

Thanks for you thoughts and best of luck to you.

Charlie
