Sorry I did not reply to your message sooner.Seems that this forum had my old e-mail address and I therefore got no notification of your reply.
I have managed to find some more information. I do already have the history line for Annie and all of it is centered in Bellaghy in Londonderry.
Her marriage was 27 Jul 1904 in Bellaghy to John McShane and her address was given as Bellaghy but his was given as Coatbridge in Scotland.I can't tell if he is from Bellaghy or Scotland. Annie may have met him in Coatbridge when visiting my grandfather or another brother who were both living in Coatbridge at that time.
I can find nothing for Manus on your suggested web site as the RC records for Bellaghy only go up to 1900 and the civil records are not there at all.
The husband's father was also listed as a John McShane.
Searches on the Scotland People web site does not throw up any hits for Manus or Annie so I am not sure if perhaps they ended up in Coatbridge or Bellaghy.
Will keep looking and eventually the Foundation web site should have the civil records.
However I do think that compared to the Scotland's People site the Foundation site is a bit of a rip off. I mean £5.00 to access an image of a record especially when the search criteria does not allow you an opportunity to verify if you have the right record is asking a bit much. The Scotland People site only costs you 1 credit to view the highlights of the search possibilities. Even then the image only costs 5 credits.
